The Grand Exchange – July 2021 Update

The overall works at The Grand Exchange are progressing well and on programme.

The construction team’s long-term activities focus around the completion of the in-situ concrete frame, which will continue until Q1 2022.

The development’s frame structure is split into 4 Zones. As you can see from the photographs, Zone A is progressing particularly well and has already been built up to the 5th Floor.

Throughout the next month, the team will continue the frame up to the 7th Floor for Zone A. The Ground Floor levels will also commence for Zones B, C & D.

The site team are also finalising the temporary electrical connection and constructing the attenuation tank which is designed to store excess surface water in the event of a storm and heavy rainfall.

Completion of The Grand Exchange is anticipated to commence from Q2 2023. We are providing these dates as guidance only and are subject to change in line with the build programme.

“Changes are coming to further revitalise our town centre, with The Deck opening in the next few years, and more housing. Transport links are good within and around us.”
