The Grand Exchange – October Update

SevenCapital are pleased to share the latest update for The Grand Exchange build.

Further to our July update, the remaining SFS works have been progressed on the roof level.

Further progress to zone 1 includes:

• Progressed with insulated render
• Progressed with rainscreen cladding
• Progressed with internal partitions
• Progressed with 1st fix MEP installations
• Progressed with 1st fix sprinkler installations

The team commenced construction of planters in the communal terrace.

The partitions on level 7 were fixed.

Further progress to zone 2 includes:

• Progressed with roof waterproofing
• Commence construction of planters in communal terrace
• Completed installation of davit system
• Completed scaffold
• Completed CP boarding
• Progressed with window installation
• Progressed with insulated render
• Commenced rainscreen cladding
• Progressed 1st fix MEP installations
• Progressed 1st fix sprinkler installation

Progress for zone 3 includes:

• Completed roof steelwork
• Completed intumescent paint to roof steelwork
• Completed scaffolding
• Commenced roof deck installation
• Completed scaffolding
• Progressed with CP boarding
• Progressed with MEP 1st fix
• Commenced decoration works to plantroom
• Complete metal decking to roof
• Commence window installation
• Commence internal partitions

General progress to the works includes:

• Progressed with blockwork generally
• Progressed with balcony steelwork installation zones 1,2 and 3
• Installed transformers in substation
• Complete davit arm installation copper steel zone 1
• Progress roof waterproofing works zone 1 and 3
• Progress external render zone 1 and 3
• Progress rainscreen cladding zone 1 and 2
• Progress window installation zone 2
• Progress CP boarding installation zone 3
• Progress balcony installations zone 1,2 and 3
• Progress internal partitions zone 1 and 2
• Progress 1st fix MEP works zone 1,2 and 3

Progress planned for the next 4 weeks:

• Complete metal decking to roof zone 3
• Complete davit arm installation copper steel zone 1
• Progress roof waterproofing works zone 1 and 3
• Progress external render zone 1 and 3
• Progress rainscreen cladding zone 1 and 2
• Progress window installation zone 2
• Progress CP boarding installation zone 3
• Commence window installation zone 3
• Progress balcony installations zone 1,2 and 3

• Commence internal partitions zone 3
• Commence utility service installation within the building generally
• Complete tower crane removal
• Install platforms for lifting eye testing in lift shaft
• Complete lifting eye testing all lift shafts

Completion

Completion of The Grand Exchange is anticipated to take place in early 2023. The Fellows forecast completion date is in the first half of 2023.
