Block 2 – The Oria

Exciting milestones are being reached as The Oria continues to take shape!

The staircase linking Levels 3 and 4, and Levels 4 and 5 is now complete.

Preparations are underway for the installation of the exterior cladding. The surveying engineers will begin work in early November, with installation planned to commence during the second week.

An impressive 2.5 floors have been completed in October, with decking now progressing on Level 12 – bringing the building closer to its full height.

Finally, application of intumescent paint to the steel columns and beams is underway, providing fire protection while maintaining a sleek structural finish.

Block 3 Progress

The metal decking is underway and scheduled for completion by the end of the first week of November. Although weather conditions have been slowing progress, our team is closely monitoring weather conditions to ensure all works are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.

The installation of the reinforced concrete frames has also commenced.

Block 4 Progress

Installation of column heads along grid line 8 is currently underway and column penetrations and installations are advancing throughout Level 1 and the ground floor of Tesco’s car park.

Four hoarding boxes have been installed to safely house the columns all floors with windows to look inside so progress can be monitored more easily.

Block 7 Progress

Preparation for drainage is now complete on 7a, along with acoustic pad installation to reduce noise and vibration transmission.

The vertical columns and walls connecting the first and second floors have now been fully completed on 7b.
