Significant progress is being made across the 100 Kensington development site, with Building 2—the main residential tower—at the heart of ongoing construction activity.
Construction efforts remain concentrated on Building 2, where the lift core is almost complete, currently standing at level 29. Concrete slab casting for apartment floors has begun, with slabs currently in place up to the second floor at podium level. Steel installation has also progressed to level 2, while the level 4 slab has been poured and column installation is actively underway.
This is scheduled for completion for the end of summer 2025. Cladding work is expected to begin as soon as the fifth level is reached.
Basement-level work has commenced, with construction now underway on key amenities including the car park, bicycle storage, and bin stores. The external framework of the future leisure centre has also been established. Notably, the swimming pool has been fully constructed and backfilled.
Key activities at basement level include:
Blockwork has commenced on plant rooms and substations across the basement level, signalling further progress on the essential infrastructure of the development.
The steel framework for Building 2 has been fully completed, marking a significant structural milestone. Construction crews have now shifted focus to erecting the steel framework for Buildings 3, 4, and 5.
At Building 3, the podium level is actively under construction. Horizontal beams, which will support the floors above, are scheduled for installation in the coming weeks, alongside girder installation.
We will provide more updates in the next quarter.
