SevenCapital and Mark Announce Corporate Membership Agreement Between 100 Kensington and the V&A

SevenCapital and MARK Capital Management have announced a corporate membership agreement between 100 Kensington, the new £500 million (GDV) residential led development on West Cromwell Road, providing the only new vertical village in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, and the V&A, a family of museums dedicated to the power of creativity.

100 Kensington is located just a short walk from V&A South Kensington, on London’s world famous Museum Mile. With its focus on the life-changing benefits of inspiring contemporary architecture and good design, the membership agreement enhances 100 Kensington and homeowners’ access to the V&A’s important collections of photography, fashion, textiles and print, and to landmark ticketed exhibitions and exclusive events, highlighting the exceptional cultural lifestyle.

With an architectural masterplan by John McAslan & Partners and detailed design by Corstorphine & Wright, 100 Kensington will provide a new architectural gateway for Kensington, with seven striking buildings designed around a central podium garden incorporating the tallest tower to date in the borough, and providing 462 new homes, including 276 market sale apartments and 186 affordable homes.

The new vertical village also offers gardens and terraces, a pavilion building for cinema screening and events; a health club with gym, swimming pool; concierge, retail and office premises.

Heralding a new standard for contemporary architecture and interior design in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, 100 Kensington makes a new chapter in the story of the borough, which is indelibly connected with the story of design itself, embodied by the V&A’s unrivalled permanent collections and expertly curated exhibitions.

As the building of 100 Kensington progresses, and relationships with buyers develop, select invitations to V&A shows, previews and special events and activities will be offered.

With its origins dating back to 1852, the V&A is a family of museums dedicated to the power of creativity, art, design and performance. With a mission to champion design and creativity in all its forms, advance cultural knowledge and inspire makers, creators and innovators everywhere, it shares the 5,000 year old story of creativity through exhibitions, events, educational programmes, digital experiences, conservation, research and an ever-evolving national collection of over 2.8 million objects spanning every creative discipline.

The museum has constantly evolved in its collecting and public interpretation of art and design, today housed in one of the finest groups of Victorian and modern buildings in Britain. While the original South Kensington site, with its foundation stone laid by Queen Victoria in 1899, is famous for its blockbuster sell-out shows, recently including Gabrielle Chanel: Fashion Manifesto; Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams; and Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty, it has outposts at the Young V&A in Bethnal Green, East London, a place for young people to imagine, play and design, and get inspired by a collection of 2000 toys, characters, objects and artworks from around the world and throughout history., and V&A Dundee, on the Scottish city’s reimagined waterfront.

The latest expansion has been to Queen Elizabeth Park, in Stratford, East London, with V&A East Storehouse having just opened its doors. Here, you’ll find Roman frescoes, Samurai swords and haute couture pieces on show in over 100 mini curated displays, as well as the David Bowie archive opening in September 2025. The special ‘Order an Object’ service lets you choose any object in the collection and book a personal viewing.

Next year, the hotly anticipated V&A East Museum, also in Queen Elizabeth Park, will open its doors, created in partnership with young people, inspired by East London’s creative heritage, and the global voices that are shaping contemporary culture.

Building a special relationship with the V&A, one of its most prestigious and exciting neighbours, will allow 100 Kensington to not only showcase their high design values, embodied at the scheme, but to be aligned with those of a world leader in the field, originally founded to educate manufacturers and the public on the importance of good design.

James Moody, Chief Operating Officer of SevenCapital, says: “The power of great design, architectural innovation and impeccable craftsmanship to elevate the lived experience is at the heart of 100 Kensington. We are hugely excited about our corporate membership with the V&A, with its local landmark museum and wider family of cultural spaces that align with our design values and bridge the gap between the historic and the avant-garde. This new relationship means 100 Kensington will have unprecedented access and enjoyment to some of the most thrilling cultural events of the year, and we know the V&A is set to become very much a part of our homeowners’ lives.”

The 100 Kensington Marketing Suite is located at 154-158 Kensington High Street, London, W8 7RL and is open 10am to 6pm Monday to Friday, 10am to 5pm Saturday and 11am to 3pm Sunday.
