Yesterday evening we were delighted to host a 2019 property investor networking tax workshop in partnership with leading tax specialists BDO at their Birmingham Headquarters.
The event proved extremely popular with over 70 guests attending who were a combination of existing SevenCapital clients, BDO clients and property investors new to SevenCapital and BDO.
Attending guests had the opportunity to hear from Liam Smith (Investment Director at SevenCapital) on why property forms an important part of an investment portfolio, and John Angood (Tax Director at BDO) who covered effective tax rates for both individuals and companies, property portfolio restructuring, the implications and opportunities that come with Stamp Duty Land Tax and wealth planning.
The property investor networking workshop was an interactive Q&A session which encouraged the current and future investors to consider the financial side of their planning and how property can unlock new avenues of wealth generation.
Alongside the insightful presentations, guests also had the chance to network with like-minded investors and those interested in making investments for the future over drinks and canapés provided by Birmingham-based caterers, Robinson’s Catering.
We hope that the evening encouraged the attending property investors to re-evaluate their current situation and to find specialist help with their planning, restructuring and educational needs.
