Work Begins On Site At The Grand Exchange

Work on site at The Grand Exchange – on the site of the former bus depot in Bracknell town centre, has begun.

Acquired by SevenCapital in 2019, the site is being transformed into a stunning new residential development, comprising 242 luxury apartments, complete with private residents amenities including a gym, shared co-working space and bookable treatment rooms.

Demolition of the old bus depot buildings completed in December 2019 ahead of below ground excavation and remedial works.

Contractors are now on site to begin the installation of the piled foundations, including underground drainage works, ahead of preparation for structural works – pencilled to begin in late spring.

Andy Foote, director at SevenCapital commented: “This is the beginning of an exciting construction journey when we start to see The Grand Exchange, our flagship development in Bracknell, start to come to life.

“The site is in a fantastic central location and the development will introduce a modern and unique style of living for Bracknell, which will complement and extend the ongoing redevelopment of the town centre and its retail and leisure amenities.

“We’ve already sold more than one third of available apartments off-plan and ahead of construction, which pays testament to how exciting this development is. We look forward to seeing The Grand Exchange begin take shape over the coming months.”
