Time to Invest Seminar – Roundup
We were delighted to host the Time to Invest seminar last night in partnership with Mazars – an educational session focused around the Time to Invest campaign with guest speakers Laura Thursfield and Andy Foote.
With stunning views of Birmingham’s business sector and a landscape experiencing incredible development, the event was hosted in the Mazars Birmingham office at the heart of the city centre.
Planned in tandem with the Time to Invest campaign, the seminar focused on the importance of investing early, helping educate and inform investors on how they could secure their financial future. With a focus on financial planning and how property investment can help these plans come to fruition, the seminar offered the opportunity to hear from two guest speakers that have years of experience in the industry – Laura Thursfield and Andy Foote.
As a financial advisor at Mazar’s and Birmingham’s Young Professional of the Year in 2018, Laura has plenty of experience working with investors to plan for their financial future – helping them determine and achieve both their investment goals and wider financial objectives. Laura highlighted why people start investing and the common challenges they face from the start of the process, providing details on the importance of having a flexible plan that allows for life’s considerations.
Andy Foote, Director at SevenCapital, took to the stage as the second guest speaker. A seasoned investor with a focus on property, Andy provided tips on making smart investments early. As someone who has gone through the investment process, Andy was able to go into the finer details of investing in property and how it can maximise returns over the long-term where other investment assets might not.
Answering questions throughout the session, Andy covered topics including Brexit, the strength of Birmingham and the ideal time to invest. As the key message of the entire campaign, Andy reiterated the importance of investing sooner rather than later, particularly if you’re looking to capitalise on building a portfolio. He also went into detail regarding the future power of Birmingham, as it builds stronger links with London and utilises the power of graduates to drive jobs and investment.
The seminar was a fantastic success and resulted in some excellent contributions from the attendees, the open forum setting helping to facilitate an educational atmosphere. We’d like to take the opportunity to thank all of the guests that joined us for helping make the evening such a great success, our guest speakers Laura and Andy for providing such insightful commentary and Mazars for joining us in hosting the event.
